BBG members and non members are invited to attend the 2016 Dubai Poppy Ball on Friday, 18th November at The Grand Hyatt Dubai. This annual event offers the ideal opportunity for Dubai’s expatriate community to remember those that have fallen in the service of the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces. The ball is a formal black tie dinner where the hope is that fostering a sense of belonging for retired members of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces or for someone who simply holds dear the memory of those that have fallen, results in an extremely memorable and enjoyable experience. Friendship, comradeship, esprit de corps and witty repartee are all important themes for the evening.
 
The evening consists of a short reception; then the formal Act of Remembrance followed by a four course meal with drinks; and finally dancing until the early hours to the retro and modern sounds of Marky Mark. For those requiring sustenance to see them through to the early hours, a midnight supper is also provided.  
 
There are several surprises planned through the evening to entertain you and ensure that this remains one of the foremost annual events in Dubai’s expatriate calendar.
