The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)agreement to lift trade sanctions on Iran has resulted in business delegationsand state representations from across the globe all hoping to secure a slice ofbusiness once the market opens up. Within the energy sector, there are aconsiderable amount of projects that can be identified where UK companies couldbecome involved. Craig McLay

Craig founded Tamarind Associates inearly 2013 as his own Risk, Investigations and Management Consulting firmcovering the MEA and Central Asia regions. 

Having had a personal interestin Iran over the past few years, he recognized a gap in the market to create afit-for-purpose corporate services agency to fulfil the needs of globalcompanies in 2015 and beyond – “Everyone is going to want questions answeredabout Iran and how to capitalize on the opportunities in this huge market.”

Craig has worked tirelessly forthe last 2 years to build the capabilities and develop the focus and profile ofTamarind into an agency that can provide advisory and consulting services for Iran.It is now also the first western managed due diligence, compliance and businessintelligence firm located in Iran. 

Previous to setting upTamarind, Craig was the MEA Regional Managing Director of a global riskmanagement company from 2007 to 2013, where he successfully built up theoperations and reputation throughout the MEA region. Craig has been based inDubai for the last 8 years.
