BBG members and their guests are invited to an eveningof networking with Anthony Browne, CEO of the British Bankers’ Association (BBA).  

During the event,Anthony will share London’s view of key issues facing the banking world at the moment, suchas stress testing and Basel III, lending to SMEs, and financial education as anintegral part of lending.

Anthony joined theBritish Banker’s Association in September 2012 from Morgan Stanley, where hewas responsible for external engagement on political and regulatory issues.Anthony previously worked as policy director for economic development for BorisJohnson, the Mayor of London. He oversaw the London Development Agency,London’s international promotional agencies and set up the Londonapprenticeships programme, recruiting 40,000 apprentices in one year.

Before working forthe Mayor, Anthony ran Policy Exchange, the UK’s largest free market thinktank. He spent the first two decades of his career as a television andnewspaper journalist, covering politics, business and economics.
